Miniskirt Police is kinda sexist..but come on, Shirokawa and Kurokawa barely do shit, and once DATS goes they wear cleavage friendly biker outfits. Their job is eye candy. I can live with that. >_>

I've been reading the responses to the series pick up. Mostly very good but some people are just way too serious.

Here's the set up.

DATA SQUAD is just the name of the series. The police force is still called DATS.

Tohma's name got changed to Thomas. He keeps the H. Norstein and they don't fuck with the lineage, but they changed his first name. People went nuts. X_X; Ok, I tried saying the name. Guess what? It STILL rolls off the tongue just right.

They changed Sunflowmon's name to Sunflowermon, and people bitched. ...They added TWO letters! All Toei did was complete the train of thought and people got pissed. Once again, it still rolls off the tongue.

I'm glad they kept the general mission, all other names are still intact, and most importantly, they kept the concept of DigiSoul. I LOVE IT. Why? Cuz up 'til Frontier got dubbed, the prior 3 seasons got the word DIGI added to so much shit it was ludicrous. Digivolve was fine, but it should've ended there. Then in comes Frontier who in the original slaps in a Digi- prefix word (Digicode), so the dub could be justified in using DIGI...AND THEY CHANGE IT TO FRACTAL CODE.

So yes, thus far, I am pleased. All we need now is a channel, air date, and cast list. I myself an rooting for Johnny "I'm A Frog" Yong Bosch to play the role of Masaru, as I believe he's done a bang up job as Ichigo Kurosaki on Bleach.

O_o People are silly

More surprisingly, apparently Toei's bringing over Pretty Cure as well, and being more true to the original material then the FANSUBS were O_o;;;

I don't know what to think of it, on the one hand, it's almost overly shiny, rainbowy, and bright-lights pretty colors...  On the other hand, it develops a surprisingly deep plot later on, and has super-human DBZ level kung-fu towards the end of the series.

Of course, I am also pleased how true to the material Toei's claiming is for Savers...  Even if Ilumitoon gets a hold of the licence, I'll be happy, they did a bang-up job with Bobobo, and I can't see them doing worse O_o;;;
