Spoilers of course.


In the Digital World, Yygdrasil/Suguru sends a new Royal Knight, Duftmon, to continue where Dukemon and RhodoKnightmon left off. Duftmon leaves to do his mission. Craniummon is further unsure of his master's goal.

Yoshino and Ikuto are driving back to the Daimon residence with supplies, when a tornado appears before the house, dropping several baby Digimon, and of all things, Piyomon, at the Daimon's door step. Chika's, Masaru's sister, is of course happy to see Piyomon again since the little incident of him going berserk back in ep...16 I believe, but Piyomon has no memory of Chika. Yoshino, Ikuto, and their partners must now be the caretakers of the children...they fail.

These babies do everything you'd expect baby animals to do. Tear up furniture, use up toilet paper, flood the bathroom, and poop on the floor (each incident being seen as a major emergency to Ikuto, who is clueless on this sort of thing). Yoshino is nearly driven to drink and all Raramon does is go like "I knew you couldn't handle this" like a friggin' pessimist.


Intermission: Masaru and Agumon are still traveling to get back to Suguru. Gotsumon crashes into their location.

Back to the human world:

Duftmon appears, and being able to create hurricanes and instantly destroy entire city block with a meer slash seem to be his special skills. He happens to appear not very far from the Daimon residence, so Yoshino and Ikuto sortie. The next few minutes has Duftmon, who has Rosemon and Ravemon beaten in terms of size, beating the shit out of the two and still doing his mission of vaping the human world. the two only use melee attacks, as they notice before their partners that Duftmon is driving them down a straight line to the Daimon residence (whether this be coincidence or actually planned I don't know)

Chika and Piyomon watch from the balcony as the three Ultimates launch they most powerful attacks at one another, and Duftmon wins that match, sending Rosemon and Ravemon crashing before their partners. The explosion carries over to the Daimon house, where Piyomon has a snap of memory, Blast Digivolving to Garudamon to protect Chika and everyone inside. Garudamon then assures them he'll handle the defense of the house so they can go all out without worry. Yoshino and Ikuto, now knowing it's now or never, bring out the DigiSoul to Burst Evolve, and Ikuto's Digivice upgrades to a Digivice Burst to handle the amount of power he's gonna be channeling into it.

Now, Rosemon and Ravemon don't get full 3D sequences, which is a bust, but one also has to take into account that they are the humanoid looking Ultimates, not the damn near robotic ones like ShineGreymon and MirageGaogamon. In return, Rave's is short, sweet, to the point, and he looks badass. Rose..they furthered the fanservice, and she looks like Abarekiller, which is win.

More one sided than the other Burst Mode debuts, Ravemon BM launches one attack that would make Torudmon melt. X_X He charges, vanishes, then all you hear is him yelling out katas as he plips in and out of view just beating the living shit out of this dude, finishing up with a fierce kick that under normal circumstances would break someone's neck. Rosemon BM then uses some attack using hearts, that act a hell of a lot like DRAGOONs. To those not Gundam Seed/Destiny savvy, DRAGOONs are independent units that come off of a main body and attack the enemy at the will of whoever launched them. Rosemon BMs dissected the poor bastard right as he was free of Ravemon BM's beating. Needless to say, he bit it.

In the end, Tohma and Gaomon return, and all three decide to join Masaru. Sayuri and Chika, now with Piyomon/Garudamon as their guardian, act as primary village while the DATS team heads out.

The fight is short, but damn if it wasn't pleasing. Unfortunately for Gaomon...it got me a lot more riled up than his battle, putting him in third place in terms of Burst Mode debuts, those he is in first place in terms of actual evolution sequence.
