I know so far the new board has not had any bad incidents. But due to things arising in the past and having been on many other boards, I feel it would be best to finally post this list so that it exists where you can all see it.

For the longest time, this existed only in the Guard Council Forum on the old board. Now it is brought to light. Should Cam find something he can better explain, he is obviously free to do so.

I feel this is necessary as a preventitive measure.

And as always, if you have an issue with another player or a serious matter, please PM or IM either the GM, an Admin, or a Mod and we'll work it out. If you have a general question, please post it in GD. Someone WILL respond to you. ^_^

Now, we're a semi-laid back bunch, but if you ignore the rules of play and of chat, you run the risk of having your posts deleted without warning, or even being banned. Remember that everyone's got Common Sense, you just have to use it...

Now...

1. Thou Shalt Not Be A Flippin' Moron.

This might sound like an obvious one, but you'd be surprised. Before you post, take a minute...READ what you've just written...THINK about how it might look to other people....WONDER about whether or not it's actually relevant to the conversation, or to the topic of the forum you're in. It'll make everyone's lives that much easier if you do this for us. This goes for Character Entrances into threads or into the game. If you don't make any sense, the Admin and GM have the right to delete your post without warning.



2. Thou Shalt Be Consistent.

Don't switch posting styles every other post. Maintain the appearance of knowing what the hell you're doing. You'll annoy the Admin, Mods, and GM if you get too confusing... and; in this case; you'll run the risk of being ignored.



3. Thou Shalt Not Use the Board as a Chatroom.

This is a message board. While I think everyone should to talk to each other, you shouldn't expect constant posting every few seconds. In other words, don't expect an immediate response to your post. This is NOT a chat room, so there isn't always someone hanging around ready to pounce on every new topic. Give it a few hours and try again. Post Snipers and Post Whores don't count. >_>; Sometimes threads move swiftly, sometimes there are DAYS between posts. Just keep checking. There's also IM for gently reminding or asking people to post with you.


4. Thou Shalt Not Use Chatspeak!!

We're not kidding. We could BAN YOU for this. (Seriously, it depends on the mood of the GM that day... >_>) It's very annoying to Admins and players around here, and some people just have no tolerance for it. Write "you," not "u." "For," not "4." "Later," not "l8r." It really doesn't take that much effort to type the words out. And ignoring the shift key is one thing, but we expect some basic grammar, spelling and punctuation here, people... Most of us here have "graduated" from Elementary School by now. Some of us are College Age. It's highly annoying to more than just one person here. But... seriously... if I can't read your post, I can't respond.

As a personal request to those who are like me? Watch the "L33T" crap too. Not everyone can 'speak' that. It's not banned, it just gives some people migraines... ¨_¨ Jokes are one thing. Seriously doing that shit post after post gets old and highly annoying.



5. Thou Shalt Not Be a Bigot.

Understand that this is not only a yuri/yaoi-friendly board, it's populated by folks from all sorts of backgrounds, religions, ages, and sexual orientations. It's alright to say, "I don't really like yuri/yaoi, because I think it's out of character." But! It is not alright to say, "I think yuri/yaoi is disgusting and wrong. Gay people are fucked up." (Though I think I personally would faint if I found a bunch of people cutting down yuri... O_o; ^^; But that's me.) So, generally. Watch Relious, Political, and Sexual talk. Not everyone is the same as you and some people take serious offense to certain comments. I repeat that if you are EVER unsure of something, just ask a Mod or an Admin. Alright?



6. Thou Shalt Respect Other Posters

In other words, be nice to each other. If you have a problem with somebody, talk to one of the Admins about it by PM or their listed/available IM information. Flame Wars are never necessary. Make sense when you post, and don't sound like an 8 year old on crack... Idiotic/Moronic posts WILL be deleted. No questions. Repeat offenders will be banned. End of story.



7. Thou Shalt Not Type Messages and Subject Lines in All Caps.

IT'S LIKE SHOUTING!!! MOOHAH!!! ... Mmmkay? ^_^

It's also highly annoying when done all the damn time.



8. Thou Shalt Listen to the Admins, Mods, and GM!

We don't usually exercise our power in great lengths, but when we do....pay attention. Ok? We're here to try and maintain control, sanity, and a nice environment for all. If we tell you to take an argument off the board, please do so. So for your knowledge, we show you the current list!

9. Thou Shalt Not Spam!

DDT is not your personal advertising space. Trust us when we say that probably no one is interested in your product or RPG, especially if we don't know you from Taichi. Links in your signature are one thing, but posting simply to pimp yourself is annoying and rude. Also please note that in the past non-players have posted in Game Forums. The ONLY forum open to everyone is General Discussion. If you are not a Player, keep your comments in Applications and the RPG Forums to yourself!

To request Affiliation, please do so in that SPECIFIC Forum.

Again... we don't know you from Taichi or Tokomon. (Or Taichi the Tokomon. O_o X_X; ) Don't make us beat you with a Wormmon...



10. Thou Shalt Not Feed The Trolls.

If someone has posted for the sole purpose of pissing us off (better known as "being a Troll"), don't respond, as it only encourages them. Please notify an Admin/the GM so that the post and/or thread can be edited or deleted as appropriate. It will most likely just be deleted, but if it needed to show as proof of something to the GM, then it will be locked and pointed out to him as appropriate. Further actions will be discussed.
