In Savers, Masaru, Yoshino, and Touma work for DATS, which is a government organization which is I'm guessing akin to NERV.

....so why the hell have we never seen them get a paycheck? You can't honestly expect me to believe those three are doing this for freaking charity.

Just saying, a wonderful little slice-of-life episode would be pay day and a Digimon fucking with that. Sure, TOUMA doesn't need a damn paycheck, he's rich. But what about the other two? Yoshino seems to have a nice assortment of clothing, not to mention the company car, but I never actually see her pull out the yen. As for Masaru, I'm pretty sure his funds come from fights, but dammit, who works for the government and not get paid! Logic states they would, but if so why isn't Masaru basking in the cash flow? Eat some expensive sushi or something!

From there, you really start to wonder about other anime where the youth work for the government. Evangelion, did you ever see Shinji, Asuka, or Rei get paid for saving humanity? Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny, how did Shinn get that magazine or Luna and Meyrin get their beauty products? How does Lacus get those dresses when she's something of a fugitive? Hell, how does she manage to get all those Mobile Suits made in Destiny?! SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Nicely said Cam. It makes perfect sense to me. A payday thread would be nice, especially with all the life threatening adventures for the good of mankind going on on DDT and all.

on topic with that i have several questions about being a guardian

1. do we get dental plans?

2. Health insurance- my my do we need this one, needless to sya broken limbs become a regualr ina  guardians job

3. oh god say we get casual fridays...wanna battle evil in pj's ^^;

4. back to seriousness, what about life insurance plans?

we need to address this for our future jobs as guardians ^^

I think Mirai has the best medical and dental for the very reason ^^

also, battling evil in pjs is not a good idea when some character's "pj"s would normally get them arrested for indecent exposer, or you think it would.

God, I'm not sure life insurance is available because of the dangerous nature of our jobs XD  they might continually think we're trying to collect


and payment would be every two weeks, like normal jobs...though I think weekly might work too

I like the idea of biweekly payment, as well as some form of life insurance. Would the payment schedule be in game or real time?

Probably realtime it would be hard for them to keep up with everyones in game time.

As for life insurance....it's...complicated. X_X A reasonable facsimile of it, but the only really effective one is once you're a high ranker. Health means they'll cover every hospital trip, same with dental.
