Ugh, this was supposed to be a simpler design, but it ended up being loud and complicated. >_o; I'm not entirely happy with it but it gives a general idea? UGH.

ANYway, premiering soon in the mission "It's Probably Pirates", this is Tenoderamon's B-Line Adult, the Dragon-type Basiliskmon, an evolutionary line derived from a mentor of Chuukon and Teresa's.

Based (as one might imagine) on Analog legends of the "king of serpents" or Basilisk, Basiliskmon are one of a group of Digimon who possess a natural connection to the ancient Arcana Codes, which manifests as the power known as "Mystic Eyes" (other holders of the "Mystic Eyes" include the Gorgomon line.) The particular "Mystic Eyes" of the Basiliskmon are connected to the Arcana Code "Justice".

...Which allows them to emit a powerful, white-hot beam of deadly energy from their eyes, the focus of their attacks. The Mirror Array around their necks acts like an intensifier and reflector, amping up the power of their gaze while also being able to reflect energy attacks when configured right. Also powerful, of course, is the Garnet Cutter on the end of their tail, a powerful gem in which they store excess energy and disperse it to dazzle the enemy.

Basiliskmon are surprisingly vain, and delight in aerial stunts and preening when not exercising their horrific destructive powers.

Scales aren't too bad I think, reminds me of older official Digimon art, but yeah I would not use as many scales there. The wing span..might need a different color to make it pop more rather than similar shades of green. Maybe the shade of it you have for the underbelly?

You're really close to that simple yet effective design that I know plagues all of us when trying to design a mon. Might I suggest looking at Airdramon for ideas?

So I realized something, as I was updating our favorite blind Vice-Captain's profile! She has never been drawn in civilian clothes. Ever.

...Then I thought about how Chuukon picks out clothes. Which is by smell and taste.

...Which means that what she calls a "cute outfit" is what Riiko calls " the things I see people wearing in my nightmares." >_>

Her shirt didn't quite come out how I wanted, but actually the fade effect is pretty great. Yes, it says "SCREW YOU, I'M A DRAGON". She owns like 25 dragon T-shirts. All of them are tacky garbage. She loves them to death.

Now, as a two piece hentai CG, this works damn well between the just before and just got to the money shot set up. It moves very naturally with just a few key changes.

Decided to sketch up quick portraits fer three jerks who ain't had designs yet.

Up top we have Himatsubushi Sanzai, whom people will know as Cadence's ultra-handsome fiance with very nice eyebrows and a lot of money that he got very honestly. She's having his baby, which is definitely his and belongs to him.

The shaggy-haired guy in the raggedy shirt is a young man named Shugyoku Kyomu, a Tamer who was formerly enslaved by the Royal Knights, but isn't anymore, thanks Balin! You won't regret it!!

And finally, down there in the bottom right corner is Telemachus, no last name because he's a creepy cyborg weirdo who works for Sentinel and worships Ragnarok all day and that's all there is to say on the matter.

An official design for Shinri. The only other pics of her (one of mine I never posted and one of Jason's) were back when she wasn't fully developed. This is the result of the more fully developed concept.

So here she is, the second creation of Project PHAETON, a self-sustaining...entity...made entirely out of Dark LoE.

Since Alma's redesign for Season 4 took cues from Ilyasviel von Einzbern, among other influences, I decided to work some Kuro/Chloe von Einzbern into Shinri. ...The end result...well.

What's with the background, you say, or the shape of the markings moving across her body like smoke?

...Probably nothing important.

For a glow effect in the eyes you might want to go over your lineart layer with an airbrush tool or something easily blend-able, and a lighter color in the center to suggest light emitting from the iris.

That said, I love the claws and how Shinri changes even the physical body with just how much LoE is coming off of her. The tats are nicely detailed and very organic, and they contrast greatly against the white dress and hair pin, things we associate with innocence.

^^ Hehe. I wanted to contrast the two with their decor and hair especially: where Alma has the bangs that fall into her face and her hair ribbon, I wanted to communicate a sort of affected, obviously false "cute" with Shinri's hair and decoration; the tiny pin making fun of the meaningful ribbon.

Her markings grow on me the more I look at them.

(Fun fact for our viewers: each mark is meant to be in the exaggerated shape of a human face, body, eye, or mouth.)

Soooo yeah. Akurei's needed a design update for a while now. ^^; Decided that for Season 4/Connect I should change up his hair, emphasize some of the different influences that've been inspiring me.

It actually works really well, considering his personal arc. S1 had an Akurei who didn't believe in anything, S2 had an Akurei who believed he shouldn't exist, and S3 had an Akurei who was finally able to accept himself and others.

For S4, we have a design that emphasizes an Akurei who's realized the ideals of his childhood, a "hero who saves others", "a hero who protects everyone", weren't wrong.

Also, yes, that's meant to be a change in his artificial arm. S4 stuff involving crazy Lost Drive shenanigans. o 3o

I like the work on Cadence's gloves and stockings o 3o both the shading and the butterfly patterns.

As far as the background goes, I think the outline on the window should be a bit more pronounced or maybe have a bit of a shadow and/or maybe add some slight glare to the windows or something; I do really like the moon and the sky in general, but it kinda looks like it could be a painting.

As Justin said, though I also wanna add that you may want a frame around the window, otherwise what's holding the glass in place?

Fabric shading/lighting really depends on the linework in that you need as little as possible to show a smooth surface. If you look back at the Langhuamon pic I did the folds of the fabric hardly use any drawn lines, I let the color and shading make the lines for me. It's a thought, and only my method.

...are those LoE hearts? God I hope those are canon. XD

Overall I like it. The shading's really good, the non-photo background wins points, and I'm glad my vote for ahegao worked out. >> XD

The only things that bug me are Aku's arm; it looks a little disproportionate to his body and draws my attention a lot; and Cadence's foot; it seems a little small, but also if she's wearing stockings, you probably wouldn't see the foot that clearly... unless they're sheer stocking... in which case, excuse me. >_> But even then, you'd see the fabric a bit differently... that gets into Cam's help though, so yes. ^^

Still, like I said, I like it. ^^

Akurei's arm...yeah, looking at it it's...a bit big? I think it's me trying to play with perspective tricks and only sorta succeeding. <_<; I should do a character sheet for Akurei. Especially with S4 coming up. >_>;; Maybe I can do one for Cadence, too, because as you've said she should be on the Sketcher with clothes more.

Alma is one of my favorite characters to play, and my favorite to draw....up until I remember she's got hair THREE FUCKING FEET LONG!!! ; A; Why did I design a character with hair nearly as tall as she is? Why must I live like a fool?

Regardless, though, I know I've said it before, but I love how far she's come. From MacGuffin NPC to fledgling Stability member to a Duchess of the Order, motivated by genius, ambition, and a desire for personal freedom to secure things like vast wealth (Iron Fortress) and really bad news artifacts (Dark Descent).

I wanted her S4 design to sort of reflect her new ambition and priorities, hence the fancier coat and confident look. Also, hey, it's Shoggomon, actually showing up! 8D

Long hair is beautiful.

And you know, insanely fun to draw once you start getting a hang of the textures, which you obviously have with the motion and shading in this. You've got two different tints, which shows an attention to detail with coloring; awesome work. The jacket is shaded in a way that you can actually get the feel of the fabric from it. You'll want to watch your cast shadows though on her shirt and skirt under the jacket. There should be more shadows from the jacket obscuring light over the fabric. Would have liked to have seen more of the same value you gave the rest of her as far as shading goes with her skin, it's looking a little flat.

I'm very impressed with how much you've improved over these past few years. Never stop learning, and I'm proud to include you in my circle of rivals as well.

This is going to be my primary heroine for Garden of the Maidens. >_> Unlike Soul Reflection, where the Akurei there skewed a little too much towards a certain Kurosaki, and unlike Age of Steel, where Taran was just sort of DU Akurei in alchemist's clothing at times, I wanted to do something quite different with Garden's heroine, especially given the Madoka influences that are rampant in the RP.

Soooo meet Nagisa Mayoke. Her home life is the nicest of any Nagisa yet, and her nature is kindly and sweet and gentle. >_> This is Akurei's dimensional counterpart. No, he can't believe it either.

...There's a reason I have the things on Alma's Grimoire as "Limiter Release". Full Unchained, which this probably depicts the beginnings of, is, appropriately enough, "Last One". Normally, Kasumi has to give you a Monster Code for Full Unchained state, but...Alma sort of...doesn't need that.

This isn't Shinri (though it's exercising a lot of the capabilities said dark personality discovered). This is just what happens when you back the girl herself into the proverbial corner.

The fire and the giant telekinetically-levitated rocks are a terrible excuse for a background, but whatever. Also the blood isn't my favorite. Oh well. Shoggomon Weapon Mode came out okay though.

....I probably owe everyone a cute after that. x_x;

2.) Man, it's sure weird how much one Tsukaana Sourei looks like one Nagisa Loki when that blue dye fades out of her hair and her contacts are out! Why, if she didn't have her hair dyed or her contacts in, one might think she was the spitting image of Lenore here!! >___________>

3.) The fact that Camille and Cadence (and to a degree Kasumi) wear the same sort of clothes Lenore liked, and have all ended up on the list of girls who fluster Akurei, I am going to chalk up to Akurei sharing his father's impeccable taste.

Well, we seem (a term I use with irony :P) to have a theme the the offspring of the Chosen Children tend to take after the parent who was a tamer. Loki resembles Lenore; Soma and Riiko resemble Mizuru; even Jace could not escape the trend as he seems to be a clone of his father, Aaron. >_>

Finally there's Celia, who for a girl unbalanced as fuck seems to balance her parents' features pretty well. Definitely some of Column Arthur, some of Column Maureen.

If you'd told Season 1's Akurei that he was going to die soon, he probably wouldn't really have cared.

If you'd told Season 2's--right up till the end thereof, anyway--Akurei that he was going to die soon, he'd probably have been thankful.

...Now, in Season 3, the kid finally has something to live for. He's finally been able to move past some of his trauma, grown as a person, and forgiven people. He has someone he loves, and who loves him back, and even if they're all the other has...that's okay.

...So now, something he can't control is killing him. >.> Irony, there. Or the cruelty of fate. Or something. <_<

Anyhow. I found a pose reference I really liked and I wanted to see if I could get a desperate/goodbye-even-though-we-don't-want-to-say-it/feelsbucket-murdering pic out of it.

So that took long enough. X_X But here she finally is, Kuuhaku's first partner and one of the first female Genomon to gain sapience and gender after the creation of the MOTHER model, Eve, the ever-bratty Lilith!

The reason she chose that name may have less to do with spiting her parent and more to do with the large amount of Demon-type DDNA that Blues and Dussander worked into her genetic makeup, as is...pretty evident here.

Her color schema came out better than I thought, and I actually really liked drawing this, though shading it was suffering. Those wings, though. I wish I'd thought of those wings back during her intro. Patagomon wouldn't have been able to fight her for shit. Ah well, canon now says they're trapped under her armor until an armor upgrade.

Much thanks to Mariah and Cam for the many Genomon refs, yes. Now to do Sophia, maybe. X_X;

The gem modules can appear in any location on the body and in any shape. Ishtar's forehead gem takes on the form of a heart and Vaati's the form of a triangle. They don't have to appear in the same places all the time. Also the refs Cam and I did really only applies for the standard forms, we'll probably work on the PROWLs and KUNGFU and other models later.

Might want to be more careful with your shading here, the shading looks more like patterns on her body rather than shading. Breast size is a bit...large considering that this is supposed to be the body of a child rather than an adult, at least on the 3/4 pic.

LOVE the red toes and the wings added to her design.

Well some of it is patterns on the body. ^_^; She has dark blue patterning on the light blue. Which was part of why shading was hard. D8 And yeah, her chest is a little big--I meant it to be bigger than Ishtar's cause of the Demon DNA, but it came out like a half-cupsize bigger than intended.

ALSO GAAAAHHH MATRIX GEMS. Bluh. I mostly like this placement anyway. I might remove the one in her chest and edit one in on her tail. Or I'll claim she has one at the base of her wings or something.

I find it hilarious that her wing placement is the same as the Battymon line's. I guess she has a sample of their DDNA?

Keep in mind that the hair doesn't always have to go back and are held back by the head pieces. Lilith seems like the type to have some bangs.

Love the tie in to Regulus with the armor, and the expression is nice. Scales I think you could have kept going with and you need to watch the ears as those are way too small for that head. Be careful with headgear, as that hat is just a size too small, though I know they can be difficult.

I dig the designs, especially Terror. That has to be my fave, though Denial is a close second.
