After taking my time to wait for reviews...then forgetting about it due to classes and homework, I finally picked up Mega Man Star Force, the Dragon Version. It was a used copy so it didn't break my account.

I started the game as a young emo lad with no name. Now, here comes the first part I like about this game: you can change the whole name of the main characters. His original Japanese name is Hoshikawa Subaru, which is a fitting pun, as Hoshikawa means Stream of Stars, and Subaru can be translated as Pleiades, which is a star cluster. Considering the name of the series both English and Japanese this is very fitting.

His dub name is Geo Stelar, geo meaning earth/ground, and Stelar referring to stars and space. However, I hate his dub name and his Japanese name though full of reference does not fit into the character limit, and I wanted something a little more cool and still spacey, so I called my motherfucker Ginga Vidan, Ginga being Japanese for galaxy and Vidan being the last name of one of Gundam's lost lineage of main characters, I believe from Zeta Gundam.

At the time of this typing I've beaten the first second episode, that being against Taurus/Ox Fire, who I prefer to call Taurus Fire as the dub makes more sense to me than Japan's Ox Fire name. I can't lie, this game plays a lot like the Battle Network games, but as a Megaman fan for so long and the fact I liked the BN series, I didn't mind. The new fighting format was a bit odd to get used to but I got into enough near death conflicts to get used to it.

Character wise, the people are at least to me better written than those of the Battle Network series. You can tell Ginga/Subaru/Geo's mother is stressed from three years without her husband or his dick. I mean come on, a hot young wife like her needs the cock...I'm getting off topic but whatever. The three stooges, Luna, Bud, and Zack, or as their J-names are Luna, Gonta, and Kizamaro, are...fucking annoying, but they're supposed to be. The anime made it clear that Luna's reasons for trying to get Ginga back to school are for good press, and it seems that the reason is no different in the game, though they make sure to show she has SOME heart. Bud  is brute force dumbassery and I found much pleasure in the part where Ginga, under the influence of Omega/WarRock, punches him the fuck out. You start to feel bad for the guy afterward since he's under the mindset that he will lose his friendship with Luna and Zack if he isn't strong enough. Zack...I hate Zack. FUCK I hate Zack. Going into episode four he has taken to spying on Ginga as Luna's informant, and you want to punch the little fucker for doing so.

Anywho, I'll try to report back as I continue through the name. Ginga out.

Wait...all I have is Paint. This is not conductive to coloring at ALL.
-Colin, over his inablity to color a lineart of his own character.
