Gaiamon, the Creator

Gaiamon created the Digital World in his image, deciding that rather then reign over it with an iron fist, he created a group of warriors to oversee the prosperity of the Digital World, and fused with the planet he so loved. In order to contain his massive power, he entrusted his nine warriors with the Gaia Breakers, the only things capable of awakening him. However, he warned that if in his awakening he finds the world in turmoil because of negligence of the populous, he would destroy the Digital World and start anew.




The Great Divine Knights

The Digital World was ruled by a team of nine knights of grace and power. They each represented a characteristic of the Digital World.

Knight Reapermon: Lord over demons and the element of darkness. He ruled over the Dark Area with his Divine Arm Forbidden. He kept the Right Arm Gaia Breaker.

Knight Lobomon: Lord over beasts and the element of air. He ruled over the fields with his Divine Arm Hikarukiba. He kept the Left Arm Gaia Breaker.

Knight Tenshimon: Mistress over angels and the element of light. She ruled over the heavens with her Divine Arm Prophecy. She kept the Head Gaia Breaker.

Knight Omnidramon:Lord over dragons and the element of fire. He ruled over the mountains with his Divine Arm OouRyuujin. He kept the Torso Gaia Breaker.

Knight Liquithmon: Mistress over warriors and the element of water. She ruled over the oceans with her Divine Arm Leviathan. She kept the Left Leg Gaia Breaker.

Knight Kabutomon: Lord over insects and the element of earth. He ruled over the forests with his Divine Arm Shellgainer. He kept the Right Leg Gaia Breaker.

Knight Cybermon: Lord over machines and the element of metal. He ruled over the technologies with his Divine Arm Hellvadis. He kept the Heart Gaia Breaker.

Knight Edgemon: Lord over all weapons and the element of lightning. He ruled over the cities with his Divine Arm Fuisaiken. He kept the Mind Gaia Breaker.

Knight Vicmon: Lord over dimensional energy and the element of ice. He ruled over space with his Divine Arm Testament. He kept the Soul Gaia Breaker.



Below the Great Divine Knights were their generals and warriors of the two knight sects, the Royal Knights and the Holy Knights.



The Royal Knights

The Royal Knights took care of all matters concerning law enforcement. Each was armed with a Justice Arm.

Omegamon: Leader of the Royal Knights, he was the only Royal Knight to wield two Justice Arms, the Grey Sword and the Garuru Cannon, and answered directly to Knight Tenshimon.

Alphamon: Second in command, Alphamon wielded the Justice Arm Kyukyo Senjin Ou Ryu Ken and answered directly to Knight Omnidramon.

Magnamon: A brave warrior, the true Magnamon wielded the Justice Arm Shin Jihad and answered directly to Knight Liquithmon.

Dukemon: The first Dukemon to exist in the Digital World, he wielded the Justice Arm God Gram answered directly to Knight Lobomon.

Dukemon Crimson Mode: The second Dukemon to exist in the Digital World, he wielded the dual mode Justice Arm Quo Nexus and answered directly to Knight Edgemon.

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode: The first Imperialdramon to exist in the Digital World, he wielded the Justice Arm Omega Sword and answered directly to Knight Kabutomon.

Dynasmon: A legendary warrior trained by Omegamon himself, he wielded the Justice Arm Dread Wyvern and answered directly to Knight Reapermon.

Rose Knightmon: A charming warrior trained by Alphamon, he wielded the Justice Arm Grogeous Shell and answered directly to Knight Cybermon.

Susanomon: The last Royal Knight, and the first of his kind to be discovered by Omegamon and Alphamon, he wielded the Justice Arm Magna Death and answered directly to Knight Vicmon.



The Holy Knights

The Holy Knights took care of all matters that could potentially harm the Digital World. Each was armed with a Blessed Arm.

Dominionmon: The greatest evolution of the Holymon line, he kept the Blessed Arm Rhapsody and answered directly to Knight Tenshimon.

Ghaleonmon: A noble warrior who fought to keep the peace time and time again, he kept the Blessed Arm Esmeraldis and answered directly to Knight Lobomon.

Kishinmon: A warrior who had his rough sides, he was wielder of the Blessed Arm Elementius and answered directly to Knight Reapermon until his dismissal for treason.

Mugenmon: A Holy Knight that came to replace Kishinmon, he was given a new Blessed Arm, Muramasa, and was prince of the Yoshino Kingdom. He answered directly to Knight Reapermon.

Goddessmon: A graceful warrior, she wielded the Blessed Arm Raigeki, and answered directly to Knight Edgemon.

Atlasmon: A strong but brutish warrior, he wielded the Blessed Arm Earthen, and answered directly to Knight Liquithmon.

Terramon: Also known as the Gaia Hero, he was a noble warrior who was the father of the Talosmon Project. He wielded the Blessed Arm Tallpanzer and answered directly to Knight Kabutomon.

Halberdmon: Known as the Swordsmon of Seven Stars, he wielded the Blessed Arm Fusion and answered directly to Knight Cybermon.

Gravionmon: A warrior of infinite beauty and skill, she wielded the the Blessed Arm Alexandra and answered directly to Knight Vicmon.

Armsmon: A warrior that was a master of all forms of combat, he wielded the Blessed Arm Eternity and answered directly to Knight Omnidramon.



The Four Guardians

The most powerful relic, the Code of Godís Might, was created by Gaiamon as a sort of forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. To show restraint, the Great Divine Knights created four Digimon to act as the keepers of the relic, to keep it not only from them but from anyone else. Though not as powerful, the four guardians held programs that could negate the powers of the Great Divine Knights and all their warriors.

The Talosmon Project

The Holy Knight Terramon wanted to create an efficient soldier to help maintain the peace within the Digital World. This was the birth of the Talosmon Project, which took place about 10 miles outside of Digital City. Terramon used a sample of his own Digital DNA. The first creation was an utter failure, and died shortly after birth. The second attempt was an actual success, and so born was Talosmon. The Great Divine Knights put the creation through a trial, sending it to defeat the Digimon criminal Faustmon. Talosmon succeeded, and Terramon was allowed to create more. For some reason, however, a simple copy and paste job did not work, and use of another sample of Digital DNA proved a failure. A Digimon was created, a variant known as Gogmon, who's intelligence progressed at a much faster rate than Talosmon. Gogmon was left aside, but using his own DNA created other Talosmon/Gogmon variants and declared a personal war against his creator. Talosmon went to battle with Gogmon, fighting to a standstill through Digital City. The fighting alone was not the only problem. The power source of the two, an element known as Geo Surge, became unstable during the constant combat, threatening to destroy them and the entirey population of Digital City. Terramon was charged to stop the destruction, and reluctantly launched an attack against the army and Talosmon, decimating all except Talosmon and Gogmon. Unable to truly destroy his creations, Terramon devolved the two to the Baby-2 level, and sealed them within two mountains on two separate continents. The pieces of the two that fell during battle were buried.

The Talosmon in this story is the same as the one currently active in Cyan. Gogmon has yet to be discovered. Nakamura Tetsuo's partner, Circuitmon, is comprised on pieces from both Digimon.


Dimensional Energy

Dimensional Energy controls the powers of the mind, time, and space, and was created by the Great Divine Knights when assigning the powers of the Royal and Holy Knights. The energy was too much for normal Digimon to use, and therefore was only meant to be wielded by the knights to keep balance in the Digital World. When the Great Divine knights were banished by the Dark Aura, the Dimensional Energy became unbalanced. Rather than try to contain the power by themselves, the energy was dispersed through and beyond the planet by the remaining knights. The last of the energy, the mind force Dreamer and Nightmare, was held by Omegamon and Eternal Milleniumon respectively.

Eternal Milleniumon

To be truthful, no one knows how this powerful Digimon came to exist, but all sources lead back to Omegamon. Obviously he did not create this beast, but is forever linked to it.

Three Legendary Devil Dragons

These three dragons were created within the Dark Ocean, another dimension within the Digital World far worse than the Dark Area. Formed over a millenia by negative energy, they nearly caused the destruction of the Digital World by unsettling the balance of power between the Digimon types. With full scale war waging across the Digital World, the Great Divine Knights went to fight them on their own. The battle was rough, but eventually the three dragons were sealed in statues, their souls locked within a legendary weapon the knights kept for themselves, never meant to be used. The dragons were named Norritmon, Opytmon, and Omicronmon. Their statues are within the Dark Ocean to this day, waiting to be released.
