Places to go... Simple as that. Newest Entries are at the top. Makes it easier to edit. Tinami Pics of the Tamers/Civilians most people used to use. http://www.tinami.com/list It's simple. You're there for pictures, but to pick one of the lists there? Click one of the 45 hiragana before you... in the middle of the page. If your computer has Japanese Language support, you should see the kana. If not, you'll only see crap on the screen. I'll say this, though. If you're POSITIVE your computer has Japanese support, Go up to "View" on your toolbar. Select "Encoding" and choose Japanese (Auto-Select). It should make the kana appear, and in my opinion, easier to tell the urls apart from each other. And this is what the page should look like, Japanese support on. Seventh Sanctum: Name and Power Generators... The weapon generators seem kinda goofy. o_O http://www.seventhsanctum.com/ Go into "Generators" -Choose the "Anime/Manga" section. Find "Anime Power Generator". That's what I used for the examples... and some of my Digimon attacks. ^^; -Choose the "Characters" section. There IS a Digimon Generator... but that takes... A LOT of screwing with to get decent soundings Digimon. ^_^; Some of those Generators can help you with names if you're stuck. BabelFish: Attack names, and help translating the random (usually German) sentences in other languages scatter in threads on the board. ^_^; http://babelfish.altavista.com Japanese <-> English Dictionary: Digimon, Tamer, and Attack names. http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/c ... b/j-e/dict I should warn you when using Japanese, you should know at least a few things... because if you want to be read right, listen. In Japanese, the Family Name is first. Followed by the Given Name. (Japanese) "Yoshino Shurensuki" - Yoshino = "Family Name". ("American") "Stone Spiegel" - Spiegel = "Family Name". I have no real way to explain that idea more. And the other part is harder to just randomly explain. So I'll break apart suki's name. Suki's name means "Refined Skill of Reason"... Also read, "Reason's Refined Skill"... "yoshi" is 'reason' "no" is a possessive particle that can be used as "of" "shuren" is 'refined; usually in tastes' "suki" is 'skill'. The Refined Skill belongs to Reason... Suki's reason while growing up and training has given her a refined skill of using a sword. Specifically, her katana. The more I do this, the stupider I sound... x_@ Moving on... iVillage Babyname Finder: Tamer Name finder (mostly) http://www.parentsplace.com/pregnancy/babynames Disregarding the possible embarrassment of going to a website based on pregnancy, the search for name meanings actually does a good job. Just choose either a boy or a girl's name, and type in the meaning you're looking for. Then hit find. .......o_O I never knew Samantha's mother's meant "Light"... ^_^; (Bewitched Reference...) Endora, a 3-syllable girl's name of Greek origin, means: Light; fountain. <More sites as needed/found...> |
