In DDT, there are ten styles of evolution.

Before I go into this, the power to Digivolve involves DNA, a DigiCore, and planning.

To Digivolve, you need the Frame DNA with the various Element DNA built around it on either a Human or Beast set up. The DigiCore is what the DNA is built around. While you never run out of DNA, you do run out of DigiCores. Howevere, they can be gained from battling Digimon, Dronae, or as rewards from missions or battles.

There are three types of DigiCore:

Yellow DigiCore: The power of Adult(Champion) Digimon.
Blue DigiCore: The power of Perfect(Ultimate) Digimon.
Red DigiCore: The power of Ultimate(Mega) Digimon.

To make a Blue DigiCore, you must fuse two Yellow DigiCores. That must be done either in the labs or by a lab technician/Tamer on the field. Currently only three characters have that ability, Mishima Guido, Endo Shinta, and Joseibi Nodoka. To do it on the battlefield, if not another tech than one of these two must be in the party.

To make a Red DigiCore, you must fuse two Blue DigiCores. Same rules apply.

The last piece is the Soul Core, identified by Endo Shinta. At times, a DigiCore may be blank. A Soul Core is for the most part a memory of an evolution. Soul Cores can be hard to come by but are basically easy evolutions. Problem is, you MUST HAVE A BLANK DIGICORE. Trying to insert a Soul Core into an occupied DigiCore can either collapse both of them, or give whatever Digimon using a personality complex. (Does the term "Sybil" mean anything to you?) Once again, to do this on the field you must have either Guy or Nodoka in the party.

Now, onto the styles.

Regular Evolution
This is the basic evolution process, using the code phrase "Helix Evolution!". This requires either the Yellow or Blue DigiCore types, with the code phrases being "Helix Evolution!" to "Shinka!" and "Double Helix Evolution!" to "Geno Shinka!" respectively. A Digimon can directly Digivolve to the Perfect level as long as the code phrase is spoken.

Mode Change
Mode Changing is the ability to move to a form within the current one that manages a different area of power. This can be done at any level, but is best saved for Adult and above. Mode Changing can be done through the use of items or DigiMod make ups. A Digimon can directly Digivolve into a Mode Change as long as the appropriate code phrase is used. The usual code phrase is "Mode Change!" for the Digimon.

Alt Evolution
Alt Evolution is in itself a Mode Change created by the Digimon consuming raw Dimensional DNA or through a DigiMod make up that used randomized DNA. Alt Digimon have their attacks replaced, and cannot use Level or Soul Attacks, as well as any special techniques taught to it. They are replaced by dark or dimensional replicas and new attacks that usually can alter time and space around them in their favor. However, Alt Digimon are only controllable for a limited number of posts, eight at best, before they go berserk. At that point the Digimon will attack anything and everything guaranteed, including their his/her partner. Please plan fail safes such as a certain item or phrase to bring the Digimon out of Alt Status. There is no code phrase for the Alt Evolution.

Blast Evolution
Yet another evolution with no code phrase, Blast Evolution is always caused by stress and allows the Digimon to automatically Digivolve one level up instead of going into EXE Mode. The Blast Evolution weakens the Digimon slightly but will not leave the Digimon weakened if defeated. Unless an item or code is used, a Digimon can only Blast Digivolve once per thread. This requires no DigiCore.

Item/Armour Evolution
This is evolution using items gained through missions or battles. They are free DigiCores with some DNA already input and ready to customize. A form using this can be a regular evolution, or even a Hybrid. The good thing about this evolution technique is that if defeated, the Digimon user will not be low on power like any other form. The power of the form is only as powerful as the level of the Digimon plus that of the item. The base code phrase for this style of evolution is "Armour Up!" followed by "Armour Shinka!", but can be customized to whatever the item is.

Power Link
This style of evolution requires no DigiCore, as it is not powerful enough to be considered a full on evolution. This evolution is achieved by combining the D-Tank with the Digimon. As with Item/Armour Evolution, the form is only as powerful as the level of the Digimon plus the power of the D-Tank. To obtain more power, equip more weaponry to the D-Tank prior to link up. The code phrase for this style is "Power Link!".

Jogress Evolution
This style of evolution requires a friend and one available Perfect DigiCore or two Adult DigiCore. This style fuses two component Digimon into one composite Digimon bearing both their power, and usually applies only the best attributes of it's Digimon components. A Jogressed Digimon can hold a form as long as any regular evolved Digimon, however, the fused Digimon will regress to the Baby 2(In-Training) stage afterward unless a code or item is used. This can also be used to achieve Ultimate level, but that as of now is unstable. The code phrase of this style is "Jogress Evolution!" followed by "Jogress Shinka!" unless a different language is used.

Combination Evolution
If Jogress is sex, then Combination is masturbation. Combination is basically a Tamer fusing the DNA of two Digimon or a certain level into one of a higher level. For some Digimon, this is necessary. The code phrase is no different from Regular Evolution and requires whatever the necessary DigiCore is. Combination can also be aquainted with two Digimon joining together without fusing, acting almost like a Mode Change.

Triple Jogress
Triple Jogress is fusing an already Jogressed Digimon with one more component to make up a final form, usually a fused Perfect merging with another Perfect to become an Ultimate. The power limits of a regular Jogressed Digimon are still in effect. The code phrase for this is "Triple Jogress Evolution!" followed up "Triple Shinka!".

Hyper Evolution
The big one. Hyper Evolution requires a Red DigiCore and most importantly a D-Hyper to contain the power. One D-Hyper can hold any amount of Ultimate Digimon, but it is a must. When Digivolving to the Ultimate level, sometimes the DNA of the Tamer is required, fusing them into one being, but not always. If fused, any DigiMod actions cannot be used unless loaded prior to evolution. If not fused, the D-Saver will stay in Hyper Mode for use by the Tamer.  An Ultimate Digimon that is fused uses "Hyper Scan" with the D-Hyper instead of the Pulse Saver, and can exit the form at anytime using the code phrase "Hyper Down". If the form loses power normally, the Digimon will devolve to the Baby-2 stage unless and item or code is used. The code phrase for this amazing evolution is "Hyper Evolution!" followed by "Hyper Shinka!", unless of course, another language is used.
