Marvel best watch themselves. After the wonderment and badassness of Batman Begins, they come back again for the second movie in what can be called the DC Comeback Trilogy. V for Vendetta is by all means art, and proves many a thing. It proves the Wachowski Bros. know how to really make a movie, something they had to remind people after the last two Matrix movies.

It proves once more that Natalie Portman is a very fine actress, talent wise and physically, I mean goddamn I've never found myself hot for a chick with a shaved head before. Not to mention I think she's just been on a spree of acting to remind everyone that her roles in the Star Wars movies are Lucas' writing, not her skill.

It proves that the perfect soundtrack does not require sudden rap or rock songs, orchestra is superb. CLASSIC orchestra leaves you feeling magical.

The movie is based on a book from DC's Vertigo line, which is more adult oriented. It waves the banner of "R" proudly, yet correctly. More would be too much, but censorship would've been a crime to the material.

You'll come out of this flick NEEDING the DVD. There are too many damn good moments and quotes. V is VERY intelligent but at the same time enjoyable to just listen to. Mix the Batman with the Joker and you get ONE layer. One out of many.

And of course I could go into the tone of the movie and its messages, but it be best you see it for yourself if you can. Everyone should see this for some reason. It is true art and it one of the few movies I've actually cried in. Words really cannot describe how good this movie is, so just look at the numbers.

Oh, and if you can? Pick up the V for Vendetta book.

Wait...all I have is Paint. This is not conductive to coloring at ALL.
-Colin, over his inablity to color a lineart of his own character.

Ah yes...  I saw this movie yesterday...

"Though I am ordinarily a percussionist, for this performance, I have pulled forth the entire orchestra..."

As soon as that statue went up in flames, I was grinning, and the grin hadn't faded the whole time.

I mean, who woulda thunk-it?  A badass Revolution movie that doesn't NEED to rely on cheap gimicks to kick ass, all you need is a fancy mask and a vocabulary that would make Cyrano de Bergerac blush!
